Winding down Whimsy and more Fairy Fun

WHIMSY - extravagant, fanciful, or excessively playful expression; an odd or fanciful notion. [Whimsy Week starts here. Click for this week's Bliss Initiatives.]

Whimsy and Wonder! What a perfect combination!! Over on my Everyday Mommy blog I tried to pick complimentary parenting topics to match up with the weekly virtues over here at Everyday Bliss. Generally I think I did a pretty good job but Whimsy paired with Wonder has really netted some delightful results in our house this week. Leafy sea dragons, snail obstacle courses, dandelion wishes and fairy crafts filled our days. All in all I will award myself and give myself a 9 out of 10 for the week and five bliss boosts. My single best score in the game to date!

The whimsical study of all things fairy was a ton of fun and I was delighted that when I put a call out on twitter for other folks to join the fun a couple of folks did! I promised I would share the linky again (you can find it at the bottom of the post) but I thought it would be fun to find out more about the artists who decided to link up!

Please note I added a couple of the links myself because I was unable to give the "linkees" (is that a word?) the coverage I would have liked in the original post... the truth of the fairy matter is that one could write for 365 days straight about fairies and the same place need never be visited twice!

I just LOVE this Mother and Daughter picture by PaperMuse Eliza.

Do visit her Etsy Shop here.

Christina of Bent Realm Studio's charmed me with "To Catch a Pixie"

The Artist Heather Freeman tried without success to add her link and as I type this I haven't been able to catch up with her to get a jpg to share. She has an intriguing collection of Fairy pics she calls the Fairy Burlesque Show (See it in her Red Bubble Shop until I am able to share it here) in which she depicts some Full figured Fae who, as she puts it, are people too!

While exploring her art I also visited her blog which is a fascinating and mind expanding place where she writes about the intersection between art and social justice activism

If you know of others who should/would like to be added in my fairy collection please feel free to link on up! I'm certain the whimsy of Fairies will be revisited again!

Oh, and remember my friend Theresa who's darling fairy in progress that I shared? Well, she is having a fabulous Artwork giveaway over at her Faerie Moon Creations blog so hop on over and get your self entered!
